How to Bleed a Radiator: A Step-by-Step Guide for Winter Readiness

Step 1: Gather Your Tools
Before you start, gather the necessary tools: a radiator key or flathead screwdriver, a cloth or towel, and a small container for any water that may drip.
Step 2: Turn Off the Heating System
Switch off your heating system. This prevents additional water from circulating through the radiator while you bleed it.
Step 3: Identify the Bleed Valve
Locate the bleed valve on your radiator. This is typically a small square nut located on the side, often at the top. If you're unsure, consult your radiator's manual.
